Athletic & ready to start under saddle in 2011. 

While historical texts often mention the beauty of the Arabian horse, they always speak of its athletic abilities, endurance, willingness to please, and its courage.

To many people, the term “Talaria Type” means exceptionally beautiful horses - but we breed for more than just beauty.  We want those other characteristics also - the ones the Bedouin tribes prized so highly.

We received the following letter from a new Talaria client, the first week of July, 2011, updating us on her recent Talaria purchases, four year-old TF Afrikhan Slate & two year-old TF Bellini.  The letter is as important to us as any show prize.

“Dana,

He is doing awesome!  We had such a great time at Biltmore over the 4th. He did everything we asked and was so level headed.  He dropped off into creeks, crossed water, through mud,  passed bicycles and carriages, over bridges, lots of ducks and geese, up and down fairly steep hills, over logs, etc.  I was so proud of him.  The first day he got a little excited but we just did some transitions from walk, trot, walk, canter, walk and he calmed right down.  After that he was amazing.  He doesn’t get upset and is so curious about everything.  Such a pleaser and sweet boy. 

And he is loading on the trailer great!!!!  The 2nd time took maybe a minute and the 3rd he just walked right on liked he had been doing it all his life!

Draco (Bellini) is doing great too!  He and Slate are in together and Draco is such a little mischievous guy.  It is so funny to watch him.  He gets into everything and wants to play all the time.  Both boys LOVE attention. 

We are in love!!!  Now I want another baby or one that is starting under saddle.  Please keep us in mind as you have horses available.
